HOLIDAY CLOSING

When: Friday, April 19, 2019

The Library will be closed on FRIDAY, APRIL 19. Regular hours will resume on SATURDAY, APRIL 20 from 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.

PLAY DATE @ YOUR LIBRARY

When: Monday, April 22, 2019 - 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Where: Murrysville Community Library

Come and hang out at the Library on Monday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This unstructured drop-in play time offers both kids and grown-ups an opportunity to mingle with others and make new friends. A few early learning items will be available to encourage imaginative play. Feel free to bring coffee for you, snacks for your child, and toys to share. Expand your social network and have fun too!

No registration is required for this drop-in program.

YARNED AND DANGEROUS
The fiber artists formerly known as Knit-cro Maniacs

When: Monday, April 22, 2019 - 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Where: Murrysville Community Library

We welcome a new group of crafters, meeting twice a month. Join them on Monday evenings to work on your favorite knitting and/or crocheting project. No registration is necessary and the meeting is open to the public.

The tentative schedule for the next few months: May 6 and May 20, June 10 and June 24, July 8 and July 22, and August 5 and August 19.

ARTIST OF THE MONTH FOR APRIL: Eleanor Brendlinger's artwork can be seen throughout the month of April at the East Suburban Artists League display inside the Murrysville Community Library.

HOLIDAY CLOSING: Murrysville Community Library has a scheduled closing on Friday, April 19, and will resume normal business hours on Saturday, April 20.

2019 CHESS FINALS

Murrysville Community Library welcomed thirty-eight players for the 2019 County-wide Chess Tournament on Saturday April 6. Four judges, led by Mr. Harry Repogle officiated the proceedings.

Junior Division:
1st - Adarsh Medipalli Murrysville
2nd - Jaineel Varshney Delmont
Senior Division:
1st - Aryan Selokar Murrysville
2nd - Nicholas Trusche Penn Area

Library Board Meetings

The Library Board meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend these regular monthly meetings. The next meeting of the Board will be  held on May 16.
