MURRYSVILLE POKEMON LEAGUE

When: Saturday, March 23, 2019 - 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Murrysville Community Library

Come to the continuing re-launch of the Murrysville Pokémon League on Saturday, March 23 from 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. Bring your Pokémon Trading Cards to play and trade. If you're new to the game, come ready to learn. Your friends are welcome and admission is free. For more information, contact the Library at 724-327-1102 or email carol.siefken@wlnonline.org.

This is a drop-in program and no registration is required.

Then, join us to play Pokémon on Saturday afternoon April 27 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

When: Monday, March 25, 2019 - 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Where: Murrysville Community Library

Come and hang out at the Library on Monday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This unstructured drop-in play time offers both kids and grown-ups an opportunity to mingle with others and make new friends. A few early learning items will be available to encourage imaginative play. Feel free to bring coffee for you, snacks for your child, and toys to share. Expand your social network and have fun too!

No registration is required for this drop-in program.

YARNED AND DANGEROUS
The fiber artists formerly known as Knit-cro Maniacs

When: Monday, March 25, 2019 - 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Where: Murrysville Community Library

We welcome a new group of crafters, meeting twice a month. Join them on Monday evenings to work on your favorite knitting and/or crocheting project. No registration is necessary and the meeting is open to the public.

The tentative schedule for the next few months: March 25, April 8 and April 22, May 6 and May 20, June 10 and June 24, July 8 and July 22, and August 5 and August 19.

Libraries to receive book on Natural Areas of Westmoreland

Each library in the Westmoreland County Library Network will soon receive a copy of Natural Areas in and around Westmoreland County, thanks to the Westmoreland Land Trust. The book, written by members of the Westmoreland Bird and Nature Club and edited by longtime Club leader, Dick Byers, is a guide to 98 natural areas that are open to the public, each within 35 miles of Greensburg. Library Board Meetings

The Library Board meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend these regular monthly meetings. The next meeting of the Board will be  held on March 21.

2019 CHESS TOURNAMENT FINALS

Murrysville Community Library will welcome invited first and second place winners to the county-wide finals on April 6. Good luck to all the invited participants.
